
World History Department has staff of five people, including 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 2 lecturers. Research interests are mainly the Middle East politics and international relations, Jewish history, American history, history of world civilization and European history.
World History Department undertakes research work, mainly responsible for undergraduate and graduate students of the Academy of History. It gained fruitful results in terms of teaching, Professor Lei Yu was named the 2011 outstanding teachers of the Northwest University; teacher Liu Lei won the first prize in the 2011 Northwestern University Fourth outstanding courseware Competition. In scientific research, professional teachers assumed the National Social Science Fund, Ministry of Education Humanities and social science research projects and published a large number of monographs and papers, many articles article reproduced by the National People’s Congress newspaper copy information and other publications.
World History Department pays special attention to the external academic exchanges. The teachers regularly attend academic conferences at home and abroad. the international academic study of Nazi Germany’s policy of genocide studies and Jewish history and culture "was successfully held from July 13 to 18 in 2011.
