Founded in 1979, Institute of History of Northwestern China has founded and solidified a bunch of researchers through accumulation of materials and study all these years. The magazine of Historical Document of Northwesten published by the Institute has been useful reference material for the editing and writing of History of Qing and the General History of Xinjiang.
All the current researchers possess doctoral degree and most of them have achieved professional titles of professor or associate professor. With decent academic training and determination of exploring, the researchers have made some achievements in their respective fields. Institute of History of Northwestern China values not only the research of history of northwestern minority nationalities, but also contemporary survey of this region, therefore these achievements embodies both scientific value and consultation for the local development and construction.
