the School of History
and
the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies (IMES)
in
Northwest University (

)
, Xi\%%%an which was established in 1964 as one of the first institutions on international relations in China
, Israeli Studies Program and Center (ISP&C)
was established at NWU in 2014.
ISP&C
is a prestigious academic venue for the study of Israel and its people as well as regional topics related to Israel.
Prof. Wang Xingang is the director of the center. Prof. Huang Minxing and associate Prof. Lei Yu are deputy directors. Dr. Liu Lei and Dr. Song Baojun are members of the center.
ISP&C aims to attain a high level of academic excellence. The center conducts research on History and Culture of Jews, Israel’s Political System, Israel’s Foreign Policy, Israel-US Relations, Israel-Arab Relations, Anti-Semitism, Holocaust, Zionism, Israel’s Counter-terrorism, Middle Eastern Politics and International Relations, and the Middle East History. ISP&C) offers courses to undergraduate students and graduate students. ISP&C does its best to promote the Israeli studies in NWU and the cultural and academic exchanges between Israel and China.
As a visiting scholar, one faculty of ISP&C) took part in the program of
SIGNAL - Israel
Studies Faculty Training Seminar at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel.
